One single coconut tree on the family ancestral farm in the Philippines ignited a passion for health and wellness in a little girl named Anne Josef. Throughout her youth, she watched her family create healthy and delicious meals from that single tree, and she knew it was precious knowledge she needed to share with the world.
Anne’s dream to teach the world about the enduring health benefits of coconuts was realized in 2011 when she started her own company, Cocovie Naturals. Armed with a background in Finance & Marketing from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal, Anne blazed a trail with coconut products that nourished the body, tantalized the taste buds, and elevated eating to healthy new heights.
Although her finance background has taught her well about the business of coconuts, Anne continues to learn more about the body-mind connection. Successfully earning certifications in Fitness and the Health Sciences, Anne does not stop there. She is currently working on her RHN certification, and spreads the word about the power of coconuts to her fellow students and teachers. She understands all too well their influence on diet and nutrition in the marketplace.
Five years later, Anne has built formidable relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the continuity of supply and the quality of her offerings. Anne sources the coconuts from a variety of organic farmers in the Philippines who sustainably grow and harvest the crops to manufacture the line of products she sells throughout the world.
Quality and flavour are secured by the traditional “hand-made” methods still practiced by the farmers and developers of Cocovie products. Organically grown, without any genetic modifications in any of the ingredients, the product line is gluten free, kosher and vegan.
Everything is made in small batches and lovingly tended to ensure the very best in everything coconuts have to offer.
Anne works diligently to grow her brand. She has appeared on Breakfast Television, and has hosted countless exhibits from the Coconut Festival in Toronto to the Natural Food Products
Expo in Anaheim and everything in between like CHFA, The Total Health Show, Green Living Show, and the CNE in Toronto. A portion of her profits is donated to support Philippine orphanages, and programs created to empower the children to achieve their dreams and build a brighter future for their nation. Anne’s philanthropy brings purpose and joy to all her efforts. She truly lives by the motto of EVERYTHING COCONUT!
